East Lancashire is Left out of Regeneration Plans for the North West

Enterprise Leaders in the North West have been busy drawing up plans for how best to spend their budget, in the North West region over the next twenty years. The budget which is made up of billions of pounds of public money is set to regenerate the region, but it appears that the current blueprints have failed to include East Lancashire.
Lancashire, like many places throughout the UK, has a problem with unemployment and poor housing. However the enterprise leaders have deemed these to be low priority and instead have given more focus to Manchester, Warrington and Liverpool.
Quite rightly, the group in charge of regeneration in Lancashire have demanded talks to ensure that East Lancashire is included fairly within the plans.
